I used Rakuten Drive (online storage) 10GB Free

Rakuten Symphony, Inc. has launched a new file storage cloud service in Japan called Rakuten Drive. The service, which is available for both personal and corporate users, enables users to send large files at high speed and manage and share files securely and easily in the cloud. In particular, the service for individuals is designed to work with Rakuten Group’s Rakuten ID, allowing users, including more than 100 million existing Rakuten members, to easily access the service using a common ID.

Powered by a web version of Microsoft 365, Rakuten Drive enables users to view and edit applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in real time. This will improve user productivity.

The service originally began as Sendy in 2019 and was later rebranded as part of Rakuten Symphony after the provider, Istmob Korea, was acquired by Rakuten Mobile, Inc. Currently, Rakuten Drive’s global operations are handled by Rakuten Symphony Korea, while sales and marketing activities in Japan are handled by Rakuten Symphony.

Rakuten Drive operates under a sophisticated data management and information security policy, and offers a wide range of corporate services for both sole proprietors and large corporations. In addition, the personalized service will be linked with Rakuten Points in the future.

Ryan Song, CEO of Rakuten Symphony Korea, said that Rakuten Drive will continue to improve its services to ensure that it remains the choice of a wide range of customers as a reliable and secure cloud service.

Rakuten Symphony is a global communications platform business that provides a diverse range of cloud-based Internet services, including email, messaging, file transfer, storage, CPaaS, and SaaS. Through these services, the company intends to contribute to the convenience and productivity of its customers.

According to the description, up to 10 GB can be used for free. In addition, there are paid plans, including personal use, which include the following.
Rakuten Drive PRO, Rakuten Drive Business, and Rakuten Drive Advance.

Rakuten Drive is classified as a file storage cloud service similar to Dropbox and Google Drive. These services are designed to allow users to store, share, and manage files over the Internet. In addition to this, Rakuten Drive has unique features such as integration with Rakuten ID, access to the web version of Microsoft 365, and operates based on advanced data management and information security policies. This makes it an attractive option not only for individual users, but also for corporate customers, including small, medium, and large businesses.

What is online storage?

Online storage (also known as cloud storage) is a service for storing, accessing, and sharing data via the Internet. This technology is widely used by both individual users and businesses as a convenient alternative to physical hard drives and external storage devices. Below are some of the key features and benefits of online storage.

Features and Benefits

  1. Ease of access: Online storage services allow users to access their files from anywhere with an Internet connection. This allows you to work from anywhere – at the office, at home, or on the move.
  2. Ease of sharing: Easily share files and folders to facilitate collaboration with other users. Sharing can be done by sending links or granting access to specific users.
  3. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Online storage serves as a backup for your data, protecting it from unforeseen events such as computer failure or natural disasters. Many services also offer automatic backup capabilities.
  4. Scalability: Users can increase or decrease storage capacity as needed. This allows for more flexibility than physical storage solutions.
  5. Cost-effective: Compared to purchasing and maintaining physical storage devices, online storage services are often cost-effective and offer usage-based pricing plans.

Try it out for yourself!
I have an Rakuten ID, so I use this to log in; you can also log in with your Google account or Facebook account.

Once logged in, you can choose between sending files and using the cloud. If you agree to the terms and conditions, you will be able to use the service.

At this point, you can use 1GB of space; to get 10GB, you have to accomplish all the items on the challenge list, but it’s easy. You don’t have to accomplish all of them at once, but each one will increase your capacity. This is appreciated.
